Deep Lymphatics
Available in:
90 minutes - Deep Lymphatics
Deep Lymphatics is a progressive treatment approach designed to support healthy fluid movement by looking beyond the area where you may be experiencing swelling, heaviness, restriction, or discomfort.
Rather than focusing only on moving fluid, treatment also considers tissue mobility, fascial restrictions, pressure patterns, scar tissue, and areas of congestion that may influence how fluid moves throughout the body.
Healthy fluid movement depends on healthy pathways. Restrictions in one area of the body may influence movement and pressure elsewhere, which is why treatment may not always begin where you feel the problem.
What Does Treatment Involve?
Your first visit includes a comprehensive assessment of your health history, areas of concern, tissue mobility, and potential restrictions. This helps guide treatment based on your individual needs.
Treatment begins gently, supporting the superficial lymphatic system with Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) before progressing into deeper tissues when appropriate.
As treatment progresses, additional techniques may be incorporated to:
Improve tissue mobility
Address fascial and scar tissue restrictions
Support healthy pressure gradients
Reduce areas of congestion
Encourage healthy fluid movement
Rather than repeating the same treatment each visit, each session builds on the previous one and may progress through different areas of the body depending on your assessment and how your body responds.
What Areas May Be Addressed?
Treatment may look beyond the area where you are experiencing symptoms. Depending on your individual presentation, this may include the neck, chest and thoracic region, diaphragm, abdomen, scar tissue, and surrounding tissues that may influence mobility, breathing mechanics, pressure patterns, and fluid movement.
The goal is to create a more supportive environment for your body’s natural fluid movement rather than focusing only on where fluid has collected.
How Many Treatments Are Recommended?
Because Deep Lymphatics is progressive, a series of 5–8 treatments is often recommended. This allows each session to build on the previous one and gives us time to work through different areas of the body as needed.
The exact number of treatments will vary depending on your individual concerns, goals, what is found during assessment, and how your body responds. Some people may benefit from fewer sessions, while others may benefit from additional or occasional maintenance treatments.
Deep Lymphatics May Help Support:
Swelling or fluid retention, feelings of heaviness, reduced tissue mobility, fascial or scar tissue restrictions, post-surgical recovery when appropriate, and those looking for a more comprehensive approach to lymphatic treatment.
Every treatment is individualized to your body and your needs, with the goal of improving tissue mobility, reducing restrictions, and supporting healthy fluid movement.
