About Me!

My name is Sarah Ribeiro! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about who I am, why I became a Registered Massage Therapist, and what led me to where I am today.

Growing up as an only child in a Portuguese household, I was always very close with my parents. When my dad had a serious accident at work and wasn’t able to return, it was difficult to see how much his injury affected him, not only physically, but emotionally too.

What really stayed with me was seeing how much massage therapy helped him. I remember thinking, “I want to be able to do that for someone.”

In massage school, I was introduced to Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and immediately connected with it. Since then, my interest in the lymphatic system has continued to grow, and it has become a big part of my practice.

Over the years, I’ve continued to expand my education in lymphatic therapy, including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Lymphedema Management and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), post-surgical and fascial techniques, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, Buccal, and more.

I’ve also developed a strong interest in TMJ treatment and how the jaw, neck, breathing, nervous system, fascia and the rest of the body can influence one another.

Today, my approach is about looking beyond just the area where someone is experiencing symptoms. I love combining lymphatic work with an understanding of tissue mobility, fascia, pressure patterns and the nervous system to create treatments that are individualized to each person.

One of my favourite things about being an RMT is that there is always more to learn. I’m constantly continuing my education, asking questions and finding new ways to better understand the body and support the people I work with.

Whether I’m helping someone manage swelling, supporting their recovery, working with TMJ tension or simply helping them feel more comfortable in their body, I’m grateful that I get to do work that I genuinely love.

Thank you for being here and following along. I’m excited to continue learning, growing and sharing more with you!
